Privacy policy

Effective October 26, 2026. This page says what Mako Bets (makobets.ai) collects and why. We do not sell your personal information.

What we collect

Account: if you sign up, your email address, username and password (stored by our authentication provider, never readable by us), plus anything you add to your profile, such as a picture, your state and your preferred sportsbooks and odds format.

What you post: community picks, posts, comments, follows and blog articles are public and linked to your username.

Usage: pages viewed, clicks (for example which sportsbook link you opened) and anonymised session recordings with every typed input masked, so we can see what works and fix what does not. When you are signed in these are linked to your account.

Location: your approximate state, looked up from your IP address, so sportsbook links point to the version legal where you are. You can change it at any time. Guests' state choice is kept only in their own browser.

Who processes it

Supabase (accounts, profiles and everything you post), Vercel (hosting), PostHog (usage analytics and session recordings, United States), ip-api.com (the state lookup from your IP address) and our own server for sports data. Links to sportsbooks and exchanges take you to their sites, which have their own privacy policies.

Your choices

You can edit your profile and delete your posts at any time. To have your account and everything linked to it deleted, or to get a copy of your data, email makobetsai@gmail.com from the address on your account. Blocking analytics in your browser does not stop the site working.

Children

Mako Bets is for adults of legal betting age (21, or 18 in some states). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date above. Questions: makobetsai@gmail.com.
